Netanyahu: Iran ready to create nuclear bomb and use it against Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran is actively pursuing the creation of a nuclear bomb and would not hesitate to use it against Israel.
Speaking to Fox News, Netanyahu accused Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of accelerating efforts to acquire enriched uranium for weaponisation, per Caliber.Az.
“We saw it. We said they would have a nuclear bomb within a year, and they would use it,” Netanyahu warned. “Unlike other nuclear powers, they would actually use it—to wipe us off the face of the Earth.”
Israeli intelligence has long claimed that Iran is pursuing a clandestine nuclear weapons program, a view that prompted Israel’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordo, and Isfahan on June 13, followed by U.S.-led “Operation Midnight Hammer” on June 21-22. These strikes, involving B-2 stealth bombers and GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs, targeted Iran’s enrichment infrastructure and killed senior IRGC commanders, including Hossein Salami and Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as well as over a dozen nuclear scientists.
