Netanyahu: Iran’s regime at its weakest since founding
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the U.S.–Israeli military operation against Iran would not turn into an endless conflict. According to him, a change of power in Iran would lead to peace agreements between Israel and the Arab countries.
“I hear people are telling you that you’re going to have an endless war here — You’re not going to have an endless war because… this terror regime in Iran is at its weakest point,” Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News. The prime minister added that the operation would be “quick and decisive” and would create conditions for regime change in Tehran.
The United States and Israel launched the operation against Iran on February 28. Its stated objectives include regime change in Iran, halting the nuclear programme, and destroying missile capabilities and the Iranian fleet. According to U.S. President Donald Trump, Washington plans to spend four to five weeks on the operation.
