Netanyahu: Iran tried to assassinate Trump twice

Iran allegedly attempted to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump twice, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated in an interview with Newsmax.

“Look, if you remember what happened before the war. Iran was the great bully of the Middle East and the world. It was the prime sponsor of state terrorism across many continents, including in the Western Hemisphere, including, by the way, with Venezuela and with others,” Netanyahu said.

According to him, “thousands and thousands” were killed or maimed in Afghanistan due to improvised explosive devices. He also noted that Iran had “bombed” U.S. embassies. Netanyahu claims that Iran tried twice to assassinate President Donald Trump and still wants to do so.

“They tried to kill President Trump twice. They're still trying to kill him,” he said.
