Netanyahu: Israel attacks Iran with Trump's support
Israel is conducting a military campaign against Iran with the clear support of U.S. President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
He noted that Iran is a common adversary for both Israel and the United States, Caliber.Az reports via CNN.
"We have eliminated their top military command. We have eliminated their senior technologists who were leading the race to develop nuclear weapons that would threaten us—and not only us," Netanyahu said.
Among those reportedly killed in the strikes were key Iranian military leaders, including Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces; Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC); Gholam Ali Rashid, head of the Khatam al-Anbia Central Command; Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force responsible for missile and drone programs; as well as Davoud Sheikhan and Taher Pour, heads of IRGC Air Defense and UAV divisions respectively. Other senior military figures like Gholamreza Mehrabi, Deputy Head of Military Intelligence, and Mehdi Rabbani, Deputy for Operations at the General Staff, were also among the casualties.
In addition, several prominent nuclear scientists were reportedly killed, including Fereydoon Abbasi-Davani, former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, and Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi, a senior nuclear physicist. These targeted eliminations aim to disrupt Iran’s nuclear development and military capabilities.
