Netanyahu: Israel ready to cooperate with Iran "once the regime fails"
Israel could establish partnerships with Tehran if Iran’s leadership changes following the current protests, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the weekly cabinet meeting.
“We are sending strength to the heroic and courageous citizens of Iran — and once the regime falls, we will do good things together for the benefit of both peoples,” he says, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
“And when that day arrives, Israel and Iran will once again become faithful partners in building a future of prosperity and peace.”
Earlier on the same day, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that Iran would strike Israeli and US targets in the event of a US attack. According to Reuters, Israel remains on high alert amid the possibility of US intervention in Iran’s affairs.
