Netanyahu labels October 7 attack “true genocide”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the October 7 attacks as “true genocide” during a state memorial ceremony for the victims of Operation “Iron Swords” at Mount Herzl.

“Two years ago, we witnessed a horrifying example of what ‘genocide’ truly means,” Netanyahu said, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.

“The October 7 massacre was monstrous in every sense – killing infants, adults, and the elderly alike. If the perpetrators could, they would have slaughtered every single one of us,” he added.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 67,938 people and wounded 170,169 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 attacks and about 200 were taken captive.
