Netanyahu meets US envoy in Jerusalem ahead of critical Iran talks

A high-level meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, has begun in Jerusalem.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu is joined by the heads of Israel’s security services for the discussions, The Times of Israel reports.

The talks come just days before Witkoff is scheduled to meet with Iran’s foreign minister in Istanbul, in what Tehran hopes will be a diplomatic effort to prevent a potential US strike.

During the meeting, Netanyahu is expected to advocate for a firm US stance in ongoing negotiations with Iran, emphasizing Israel’s security concerns and regional interests.
