Netanyahu vows retaliation against Houthis following drone, missile attacks
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to the Houthis, the Iran-aligned group “Ansar Allah,” following a surge in rocket and drone attacks on Tel Aviv in recent weeks.
In a statement posted on his official social media account X, Netanyahu made it clear that Israel would retaliate against those attempting to undermine its security, Caliber.Az reports.

"We are targeting those who believe they can take our lives. This applies to everyone," he said, marking the occasion of the Hanukkah holiday.
He also stated that the Houthis, like Hamas, Hezbollah, Assad’s regime, and others, will receive a lesson that the entire Middle East will learn over time.
Meanwhile, on December 22, Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel will not allow Hezbollah operatives to return to villages in southern Lebanon or re-establish infrastructure that could pose a threat to Israeli communities, Defence Minister Israel Katz said on Sunday.
Speaking from an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) outpost in Lebanon, Katz emphasized Israel's decisive action against Hezbollah: “We struck Hezbollah with unprecedented force, we have defanged the snake,” he stated.
“If Hezbollah doesn’t withdraw beyond the Litani River, and tries to violate the ceasefire — we will crush its head.”
