Netherlands to allocate €10m for military training in Ukraine

The Netherlands will allocate €10 million to develop training infrastructure in Ukraine to expand the training of Ukrainian military personnel, Dutch Defence Minister Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius has announced.

Upon arriving at a meeting of EU defence ministers in Brussels, she said the additional funding will allow more Ukrainian military personnel to receive training, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

She noted that his country and its allies have already helped train nearly 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers and officers, including as part of the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine).

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has repeatedly stated that Western aid to Kyiv would not be a solution capable of influencing the course of hostilities, and that Western weapons “will be systematically destroyed by the Russian Armed Forces.”
