New anti-drone weapon enables "pushing" hostile UAVs several kilometres back

29 August 2025 05:14

The California-based DZYNE Technologies has introduced the Dronebuster Power Up Program which is engineered to counter autonomous drone swarms by spoofing targets and pushing each hostile UAV back as far as 4 kilometres.

It allows owners of previous models, including Block 3, to upgrade to the latest Dronebuster Block 4 variant, according to an article published by Next Gen Defense.

Optimized for modern command-and-control (C2) and satellite navigation signals, it includes an optional Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) attack mode capable of disrupting even high-speed, frequency-agile drones.

The system delivers higher transmission power, wideband coverage, and the ability to jam all major global navigation satellite systems—GPS, Galileo, Glonass, and Beidou—across multiple frequency bands.

“It is a phenomenal capability that our competitors do not have,” said Adam Wirth, Business Development Manager at DZYNE, in a social media post. “Give your warfighters the best array of capabilities of any handheld system. Don’t leave them defenceless against autonomous UAVs.”

Weighing about 2.65 kilograms, the Block 4 uses a NATO-certified battery approved for both civilian and military transport and supports external DC power for uninterrupted use.

The battery offers over 60 minutes of active jamming and more than 10 hours of detection capability.

Designed for rugged environments, the weapon is resistant to dust, water, shock, and vibration. It also includes RS-422 serial interfaces for seamless integration with existing C2 systems.
