New Artificial Intelligence Institute of Turkic States may open in Baku
A proposal to establish an Artificial Intelligence Institute of Turkic States has been put forward, with Baku suggested as the potential hub for the new institution.
The announcement was made by Adalat Muradov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), during an international conference held in the Azerbaijani capital, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The event was organised with the support of the International Turkic Academy and the Center for Social Research and focused on presenting the results of sociological research conducted in the member countries of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).
Muradov emphasised the strategic importance of the proposed institute, noting that Baku could serve as its headquarters. “It is also important to develop joint educational programs among the Turkic states,” he added, underscoring the need for collaboration in training future specialists in artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
The Organisation of Turkic States includes Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan as full members, with Hungary, Turkmenistan, and Northern Cyprus participating as observers.
