New Europe route: Wizz Air to link Baku and Bratislava
A new flight route from Baku to Europe is set to be launched as Heydar Aliyev International Airport continues to expand its network.
According to the airport’s press service, cited by Caliber.Az, Europe’s largest low-cost carrier Wizz Air will begin direct scheduled flights on the Bratislava–Baku–Bratislava route starting from September 29, 2026.
Flights will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The launch of the new route is expected to further strengthen air connectivity between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, create additional opportunities for tourism and business travel, and provide passengers with more convenient access to one of Central Europe’s emerging destinations.
The new service marks another significant step in the development of the international route network of Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Tickets for the flights are already available on Wizz Air’s official website, as well as through other sales channels.
