Epstein allegations deepen: Bodies of two girls buried near ranch New Mexico DOJ probes claim
New Mexico’s Department of Justice announced that it is investigating an allegation, revealed through documents released by the US Department of Justice, claiming that the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein ordered the bodies of two foreign girls to be buried near his secluded New Mexico ranch.
Lauren Rodriguez, a spokesperson for the New Mexico Department of Justice, said the office has requested an unredacted copy of a 2019 email from the US Justice Department that contains the allegation, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
The US Justice Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while the FBI declined to comment.
“We are actively investigating this allegation and are conducting a broader review in light of the latest release from the US Department of Justice,” Rodriguez said in an email responding to questions about the case.
The day prior, New Mexico’s legislature launched its first full-scale investigation into claims that Epstein sexually abused girls and women at the Zorro Ranch, located 30 miles (48 km) south of Santa Fe, over more than two decades.
Democratic lawmakers’ push to uncover Epstein’s crimes has emerged as a significant political issue for President Donald Trump.
The redacted email from 2019, included in the latest batch of documents released by the US Justice Department concerning Jeffrey Epstein, was sent several months after Epstein’s death to Eddy Aragon, a New Mexico radio host who had previously discussed the Zorro Ranch on his show.
The message, allegedly from a former Zorro Ranch employee, demanded one bitcoin in exchange for videos purportedly taken from Epstein’s residence that allegedly showed the financier engaging in sexual acts with minors.
Aragon, speaking in a phone interview, said he believed the email to be genuine and immediately forwarded it to the FBI. He added he received no payment or further contact from the sender, though he recently tried to respond for the first time, only to find the email address no longer functional.
The redacted email sent to Aragon claimed that two foreign girls had been buried on Epstein’s orders “somewhere in the hills outside the Zorro” and that the girls had died “by strangulation during rough, fetish sex.”
