New York to host 34th High-Level meeting of Nizami Ganjavi International Center Within UN General Assembly
The 34th High-Level Meeting of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center will take place in New York as part of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
The event will be held from September 23 to 26, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Under the theme "Multilateralism at a Turning Point: Challenges and Paths to Peace," the meeting will bring together current and former heads of state and government, as well as heads of international organisations, to discuss current challenges to global cooperation and multilateralism.
This meeting is considered the largest among parallel events held during the UN General Assembly. High-level representatives from more than 50 countries are expected to attend, including over 25 current and former presidents and more than 10 current and former prime ministers.
The program includes panel discussions on global equality, climate change, global health, technological transformations, and geopolitical developments, as well as sessions focused on paths to peace. Topics will also highlight preparations for the World Urban Forum (WUF2026), which will be held in Baku in 2026.
