Night attack injures 18 in Ukraine's Dnipro, damages homes updated / photo / video
A nighttime Russian strike on Dnipro partially destroyed a four-story residential building and damaged several others, regional officials said.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, said 18 people initially required medical assistance, including 11 who were hospitalised. A 26-year-old woman is in serious condition, while the others are in moderate condition.
“The enemy continues to attack the city. Take care of your safety,” he wrote.
In an updated statement, Hanzha said two bodies had been recovered from under the rubble, and up to five more people may still be trapped. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing. He later уточнил that the total number of injured had risen to 21, with all receiving necessary medical care.
The attack also caused a fire at a local gas station.
“For more than 10 hours, the enemy has been attacking Dnipro. A strike was also carried out on a gas station. A fire broke out there. Three trucks are also burning,” Hanzha said.
According to Ukrainian rescue services, people remain under the debris. Authorities in other regions of Ukraine also reported drone attacks during the night of April 25.

Russian forces launched a large-scale overnight attack on Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing widespread damage and leaving people trapped under debris, according to Ukrainian emergency authorities.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said the strike hit residential buildings, businesses, and an industrial infrastructure facility across the city.
“As a result of the attack, residential buildings, enterprises, and an industrial infrastructure facility were damaged. Fires broke out in several parts of the city. A four-story apartment building was partially destroyed,” the agency said in a statement.
Preliminary data indicates that 14 people were injured, including one child. Emergency responders have rescued 30 people, among them five children.
Authorities warned that additional victims may still be trapped beneath the rubble of the damaged residential building, and confirmed that search and rescue operations are ongoing.
