No medieval fortress discovered near Baku Officially PHOTO/VIDEO

Information has spread on social networks that fortress walls have been found near the Otman-Bozdag volcano located in Garadagh district (near Sangachal settlement).

Commenting on the information, Fariz Huseynli, Spokesperson of the Azerbaijani State Service for the Preservation, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, told Caliber.Az that during the inspection of the area by specialists and service staff, it was found that the stones exposed as a result of erosion are construction materials.

"No remains of cultural samples of historical and archaeological value were found on the territory. These are stone layers formed as a result of natural erosion," Huseynli noted.
