No tears for Iran’s regime, says European Commission president
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that people should not “shed tears for the Iranian regime,” Clash Report Telegram channel says.
Speaking on the situation in Iran, von der Leyen highlighted the suffering caused by the regime, saying: “There should be no tears shed for the Iranian regime. This regime has inflicted death and imposed repression on its own people. They slaughtered 17,000 young people.
This regime has caused devastation and destabilization across the region through its proxies. Many Iranians inside the country and across the world have celebrated Khamenei’s demise.”
She also noted that many Iranians, both within Iran and abroad, welcomed the fall of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reflecting widespread public sentiment in some quarters.
