North Korea claims acquisition of "secret weapon" amid defence build-up
North Korea has acquired a “secret weapon” as part of its efforts to strengthen its defence capabilities, Chairman of State Affairs Kim Jong Un has said.
“Our state and party are achieving continuous, step-by-step development in enhancing defence capabilities,” Kim said, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
He highlighted the construction of new destroyers, describing it as “the first significant step toward becoming a maritime power,” alongside “the relentless strengthening of strategic forces” and improvements to the specifications of serially produced weapons.
“In addition, we have acquired a new secret weapon. Significant progress has been made in defence science and research, which will contribute greatly to a sharp increase in combat potential,” Kim added.
