North Korea launches unidentified projectile toward Sea of Japan

North Korea has launched an unidentified projectile toward the Sea of Japan, South Korea's military has stated.

Japan's Coast Guard urged vessels operating in the area not to approach any suspected missile debris, Caliber.Az reports, citing Korean media.

It said vessels should immediately notify Japanese authorities if any fragments are found.

No further details have been released.
