North Sea oil, trade and security dominate Trump’s call with new UK PM
US President Donald Trump held talks with newly appointed British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, North Sea oil and bilateral relations.
“We discussed many subjects, including the outstanding relationship we have had with the UK. (...) We discussed North Sea Oil, Trade, the Military Alliance, Demining of the Hormuz Strait, and many other topics,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, Caliber.Az reports.
The US president also said he expects to meet Burnham in person in the near future.
“The Prime Minister has got a big job ahead of him, but he will be able to do it and, of course, the U.S.A. will be there to help!” Trump added.
Earlier, the British Prime Minister’s Office also reported on the conversation between Burnham and Trump.
