Northern Israel comes under new shelling from Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that the Israeli northern regions were shelled.
Following air raid sirens in several areas of Upper and Western Galilee, approximately 25 projectiles were launched from Lebanese territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Some of the projectiles were intercepted by the Israeli Air Force, while the others landed in open areas,” the IDF stated.
At least three Israelis were injured when 17 rockets were launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel on October 5.
At least three people were injured when a rocket fell on a building in Deir al-Asad in the Lower Galilee in northern Israel. Some 10 rockets were fired from Lebanon, targeting northern Israel.
While some were intercepted by Israeli defence systems, one rocket struck an open area near Rosh Pina, sparking a fire. A fire had erupted in an open field between Safed and Rosh Pina in the Upper Galilee, as a result of the rocket landing.
