Norway pledges €7.2 billion aid to Ukraine in 2026

The Norwegian government has announced plans to provide Ukraine with 85 billion Norwegian kroner (around €7.2 billion) in 2026, including both military and civilian assistance.
According to a government statement, the support will be delivered under the Nansen Programme, named after the Norwegian scientist Fridtjof Nansen.
“In 2026, Norway will continue to provide Ukraine with military and civilian aid under the Nansen Programme. The government proposes an allocation of 85 billion kroner,” the statement said.
The document also outlines Norway’s intention to raise defence spending to 3.4% of GDP next year, with an additional 4.2 billion kroner (approximately €358 million) earmarked for military expenditures.
