Norway to supply multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine
Norway has agreed to send three M270 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems to Ukraine.
For this purpose, it is cooperating with the UK, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Norwegian Defence Ministry.
Norwegian Defence Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said that Norway will provide the rocket systems that are in warehouses. The military equipment should be modernised. Therefore, Norway agreed with the UK to modernise them for further transportation to Ukraine.
A total of 12 missile systems are kept in Norway. Ukraine will also receive 5,000 more grenades.
M270 is a tracked mobile launcher that can fire at a distance of 32 to 300 kilometres, depending on the missile. It is used to destroy strongholds, lightly armoured targets, and command posts.
Earlier the UK announced that it would provide Ukraine with M270 rocket systems and ammunition.
