Norwegian police warn of rising youth interest in terrorist Breivik
22 July 2026 19:25
Norway's Police Security Service (PST) has warned of a growing trend of young people being drawn into far-right ideology, with the image of terrorist Anders Behring Breivik increasingly used in extremist propaganda.
Boys aged between 12 and 17 are considered particularly vulnerable to radicalisation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Norwegian media.
"We are seeing a significant increase in the number of young boys being exposed to far-right ideological indoctrination," senior counterterrorism adviser Karoline Iversen said.
The PST noted that Breivik, who carried out Norway's 2011 terrorist attacks, is increasingly being referenced in memes and extremist propaganda targeting young audiences.
