NYT: Washington readies Russia-Ukraine talks outside Geneva meetings
The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing a plan for negotiations with Russia aimed at resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv, The New York Times reports, citing a U.S. official.
These talks will be held separately from the Geneva meetings, where on November 23, representatives from the United States, Ukraine, and European countries are convening to discuss Washington’s peace plan.
The Ukrainian delegation, led by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, has already arrived in Switzerland, along with U.S. special envoy Steve Whitcoff and Secretary of State Mark Rubio.
CNN also reported that the United States is preparing for an upcoming meeting with Russia, though it did not specify the location or timing of the talks.
