Official: Ukraine seeks ceasefire to save lives, not serve ideology

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that the ceasefire initiative proposed by Kyiv demonstrates what he described as Ukraine’s genuine commitment to peace.

Budanov stressed that the proposal is not tied to symbolic dates or ideological narratives, but rather focused on preserving human life and restoring security conditions, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.

“The ceasefire initiated by Ukraine reflects our true desire for peace,” he said.

“Not for attachment to any dates or the imposition of ideological dogmas, but for the preservation of human life and the restoration of security.”
