Officials say COVID-19 pandemic continues in Azerbaijan

Head of the strategic development department of Azerbaijan’s Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) Yagut Garayeva has said that although the number of COVID-19 cases remains stable and is not growing, the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing in Azerbaijan.

The statistics of COVID-19 cases have remained unchanged in Azerbaijan over the past 2-3 weeks, Garayeva told Report.

She said the extension of the quarantine regime is associated with the autumn and winter periods.

“During this period, there is an increase in respiratory viral diseases and other viral infections,” Garayeva explained.
