OIC countries’ share in Azerbaijan's foreign trade exceeds 16% - official

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov has said that Azerbaijan and the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) had very close economic cooperation.

He made the statement at the 38th meeting of the OIC Standing Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation on November 28, adding that these ties continue to grow, APA reports.

He noted that trade turnover between Azerbaijan and OIC countries increased by 55.4 per cent from January through October 2022 as compared to the same period last year, making up $7.7 billion.

The deputy minister added that the share of OIC countries in Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover was 16.5 per cent.
