Oil companies evacuate staff from Iraq to Kuwait

According to Iraqi sources, several foreign oil companies, including Halliburton, KBR, and Schlumberger, have begun evacuating their foreign employees from oil fields in Iraq to Kuwait. The evacuation is being carried out via the Safwan border crossing, Devdiscourse reports.

The decision comes amid increased Iranian strikes in the region amid the ongoing U.S.–Iran conflict. Companies are seeking to ensure the safety of their staff in the face of the unstable situation.
