Oil prices edge higher as Trump delays strikes on Iranian energy sites

Oil prices rose slightly early Friday, March 27, following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement that planned strikes on Iranian energy facilities would be postponed due to ongoing negotiations with Tehran.
According to CNN, Brent crude futures, the global benchmark, increased by 1 per cent to $109.10 per barrel at 3:20 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday. The U.S. benchmark, West Texas Intermediate (WTI), also rose by 0.4 per cent, reaching $94.90 per barrel.
