Oil slides, gas gets cheaper as Trump highlights price decline

US President Donald Trump pointed to the ongoing drop in WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude oil prices in a post on Truth Social.

“WTI CRUDE - $69, and heading down. This is less than it was prior to the start of the Denuclearization of Iran!” Trump wrote.

In a separate post, the US president also claimed that gasoline prices are decreasing.

“GAS PRICES COMING DOWN, FAST! REPORT ANY ABUSES AT RETAIL LEVEL!!!” Trump said in the publication.
