Oman engages Iran in talks to promote peace, regional stability
Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik held a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and efforts to ease regional tensions.
The conversation highlighted Oman’s neutral stance and ongoing commitment to promoting dialogue and stability in the Middle East, ONA reports.
During the discussions, the leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations between their countries and explored avenues for their enhancement.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments and evolving circumstances, as well as ongoing efforts aimed at achieving de-escalation.
Haitham bin Tarik reaffirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to its principled position of neutrality, emphasizing Oman’s continued dedication to facilitating dialogue and contributing to regional stability.
