19 March 2026 14:34
The price of Omani crude oil has surged sharply, reflecting continued volatility in global energy markets.
According to data reported by QNA, the official price of Omani crude for May delivery rose to $166.96 per barrel, marking an increase of $13.84 compared to the previous trading session. On Wednesday, the price had stood at $153.12 per barrel.
Despite the sharp daily increase, the average monthly price of Omani crude for March deliveries remains significantly lower. It was recorded at $62.17 per barrel, representing a modest rise of $0.08 compared to the average price for February deliveries.
The figures highlight a rapid short-term escalation in oil prices, contrasting with more moderate monthly averages.
