A Russian drone strike targeted the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, damaging civilian infrastructure and residential property, regional authorities said.
According to regional military administration head Oleg Lisak, the overnight attack caused damage to infrastructure facilities, four apartment buildings located in different districts of the city, and an educational institution.
Emergency and municipal services have been working at the sites since nighttime to eliminate the consequences of the strike and begin restoration efforts. One civilian was reported injured: a man who suffered burns was hospitalised and is currently receiving necessary medical treatment.
Authorities have deployed operational response headquarters to coordinate assistance, while residents affected by the damage are being provided with support.
Officials are also helping residents of the damaged buildings complete documentation required to obtain compensation through Ukraine’s state recovery program, in addition to financial assistance allocated from the municipal budget.
