One injured in attacks on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, officials say
A 69-year-old woman was injured during an attack on the Polohivskyi district of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, according to regional authorities. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, said the woman received medical assistance and is being treated.
According to Fedorov's post on Telegram, a total of 709 strikes were recorded across 25 settlements in the southern Ukrainian region over the past 24 hours, Caliber.Az reports.
The attacks involved a range of weapons, including aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and artillery.
Authorities said at least 10 air strikes targeted several settlements. More than 400 attacks were carried out using drones, primarily first-person-view (FPV) UAVs, with Zaporizhzhia city and other towns in the region among the reported targets.
In addition, officials reported eight MLRS strikes and nearly 300 artillery attacks on various settlements. As a result of the strikes, authorities received 18 reports of damage to residential buildings and vehicles.
