One injured in Zaporizhzhia after heavy Russian attacks, Kharkiv also targeted
Russian forces conducted extensive strikes across the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, leaving one person injured in the Zaporizhzhia district.
The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, confirmed the casualty.
According to Fedorov, Russian troops carried out a total of 914 attacks on 24 settlements in the region. These included eight airstrikes targeting several populated areas. In addition, Ukrainian authorities recorded 610 drone attacks involving unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, the majority of which were FPV drones.
Russian forces also launched five strikes using multiple launch rocket systems, while 291 artillery attacks hit multiple settlements.
Local authorities received 34 reports detailing damage to residential homes, vehicles, infrastructure sites, and agricultural buildings resulting from the attacks.
During the night, a separate large-scale assault targeted Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, Ihor Terekhov, chairman of the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities, reported.
According to regional officials, one of the strikes involved Shahed-type drones hitting a children’s sanatorium in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, sparking a major fire. No casualty information has yet been released.
