One killed, 13 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Kyiv–Kharkiv highway Photo

A fatal traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred on the evening of December 28 on the Kyiv–Kharkiv highway near the village of Ivankiv, killing one person and injuring 13 others, Ukrainian police said.

According to the Kyiv region police, preliminary investigations suggest that the driver of a Mercedes-Benz minibus crossed into the oncoming lane, colliding with a Jeep and a Volkswagen. The driver of the Jeep died at the scene, Caliber.Az reports.

The minibus driver sustained bodily injuries, while six passengers were hospitalised. The remaining injured individuals received medical assistance at the scene of the crash.

Law enforcement authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
