One killed, children among injured after Russian strike hits Kharkiv
At least one person has been killed and several others injured, including children, after a Russian strike hit a residential area in Ukraine’s northeastern city of Kharkiv.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said emergency services responded to a strike on a private residential area, where a two-story apartment building was hit, Caliber.Az reports.
“As a result of the strike, the Crisis Management Center recorded a hit on a private residential area. A woman was trapped under the rubble in one of the buildings. [...] According to updated information, the strike hit a two-story apartment building. Four people may be trapped under the rubble. At this time, five casualties have been reported. A child may be trapped under the rubble,” he wrote on Telegram.
Emergency crews continued working at the scene to search for additional victims believed to be trapped under the collapsed structure.
