One killed, one injured in Russian strike on Ukraine’s Sumy PHOTO

A combined Russian attack on Ukraine’s Sumy region overnight left one person dead and another injured, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).

The strikes targeted the Shostka district during the night of April 29. In the city of Shostka, explosions were recorded at three separate locations, with residential areas among those hit. The attack triggered multiple fires.

Emergency responders said that in one apartment building, rescue teams managed to save one person while evacuating 16 others from the site.

Preliminary information indicates that one person was killed and another sustained injuries as a result of the attack.
