Online Azerbaijan project aims for nationwide broadband coverage with 35 Mbps by end of 2024

The main goal of the Online Azerbaijan project is to establish a nationwide broadband network with a minimum internet speed of 35 Mbps by the end of 2024, through a public-private partnership involving several telecom operators.

Aztelekom LLC, under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, provided this information in response to an inquiry by APA.

"Since the inception of the Online Azerbaijan project in 2021, the number of households with access to broadband internet has increased to 2.29 million. Currently, 78 percent of households in the country are covered," the report stated.
