OPEC secretary-general arrives in Azerbaijan PHOTO
OPEC [Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries] Secretary-General Haitham Al Ghais has arrived on a visit to Azerbaijan.
On June 18, he paid tribute to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid a wreath at the monument, APA reports.
Then the guest visited the graves of the heroic sons of the Motherland who gave their lives in the struggle for the country’s independence and territorial integrity in the Alley of Martyrs and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame memorial.
To note, Azerbaijan is a party to the OPEC+ agreement.
Under the OPEC+ agreement, Azerbaijan's obligation to reduce daily oil production is 33,000 barrels, and the quota is 684,000 barrels.
Since April 2020, OPEC and non-OPEC countries have entered into an agreement on the reduction of daily oil output volumes.
