Orbán: Europe gripped by "war psychosis" as troops edge closer to Ukraine
07 June 2024 16:23
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expressed his concerns about escalating tensions in Europe during an interview with Kossuth Radio.
Orbán said the European Union is exhibiting a "war psychosis" that could lead to sending Western troops to Ukraine.
According to him, the situation is not a mere possibility but rather a settled issue.
He warned that the EU is dangerously close to a point of no return and is at risk of starting a war, underestimating the potential consequences given Russia's significant resources and capabilities.
Orbán emphasized that Russia should not be underestimated, particularly in the military and military-technical fields, as it possesses the largest sources of raw materials in the world, necessary for the continuation of any conflict.
He cautioned that the EU's actions could put itself at serious risk given Russia’s economic and military prowess.
