Orban: Hungary's path lies in collaborating with both East and West
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has underscored the necessity for Hungary to engage with both Western and Eastern powers, emphasizing the importance of separating economic considerations from ideological beliefs.
His remarks were shared on X (former Twitter) by Zoltán Kovács, state secretary for international communications and relations in the Prime Minister's Office, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
"We must not blur the lines between ideological matters and economic interests. To secure its economic future, Hungary must connect with all global economic hubs, both in the West and the East," Orban stated.
Prime Minister elaborated that his government is actively working to instil the principle of "economic neutrality" into Hungary's political discourse.
He explained that this concept reflects Hungary's commitment to conducting business with any partners of its choosing, based on its own interests, while ensuring that its participation in partnerships aligns with the country's core values.
