Over 240 trucks queue at Belarus–Lithuania border

More than 240 heavy goods vehicles are waiting to enter Lithuania from Belarus, according to the State Border Committee (SBC). 

At the Medininkai checkpoint on the Lithuanian side — known as Kamenny Log in Belarus — authorities processed only 14% of the normal daily volume of freight trucks, the committee said. Around 110 trucks are currently queued at that crossing, Caliber.Az reports via Belarusian media. 

A further 130 trucks are reportedly waiting at the Šalčininkai checkpoint, referred to as Beniakoni in Belarus. According to the SBC, the Lithuanian side processed 28% of the usual number of vehicles at this crossing.
