A delegation of Azerbaijani religious leaders from Türkiye and Georgia is set to visit Azerbaijan.
This trip, organised by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organisations and the Foundation for the Promotion of Spiritual Values, is intended to strengthen religious and moral connections, as well as unity and solidarity with Azerbaijanis living abroad, Caliber.Az reports, citing domestic media.
During their visit, the guests will tour the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and pay respects to notable figures at the Alley of Honour, along with honouring the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country's freedom at the Alley of Martyrs.
The delegation will also visit Victory Park and the Monument to Turkish Martyrs. Moreover, they will explore the operations of various mosques and churches representing different confessions in the capital city.
A key part of their itinerary includes a visit to the territories of Karabakh liberated from occupation. There, the delegation will see the Juma Mosque and the Imaret Complex in Agdam, and the culturally significant city of Shusha. They will also visit the Ashaghy Govharagha and Yukhary Govharagha mosques, along with the Saatly and Mamai mosques.
The visit is scheduled to continue until June 2 and will include more than 30 prominent Azerbaijani religious figures from Türkiye and Georgia.
