Over 4,500 vehicles stuck at Belarus-Poland border amid delays—state committee
Over 4,500 passenger and cargo vehicles are currently queued to enter Poland, the Belarusian State Border Committee said, highlighting ongoing delays at major crossings.
In the past 24 hours, Polish border authorities processed only 43% of incoming traffic, causing significant bottlenecks, Caliber.Az reports, citing Belarus media.
At the Terespol checkpoint, adjacent to Brest, 2,660 passenger cars and 150 buses are waiting, with officials admitting only 30% of the usual daily flow from Belarus.
The busiest route for trucks entering the EU is the Kukuryki checkpoint (adjacent to Kozlovichi), where 1,770 trucks are lined up. Authorities on the Polish side processed 56% of the standard cargo volume, according to the Belarusian committee.
Delays are also reported at the Latvian border, where the Paternieki checkpoint (adjacent to Grigorovshchina) processed just 29% of regular traffic, leaving 450 trucks waiting to enter Latvia.
