Over 50 people in Israeli strikes on Lebanon, health ministry says

At least 51 people have been killed and 107 others injured in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said that since the escalation of hostilities began on March 2, the total number of civilians killed has reached 2,846, while 8,693 people have been injured, foreign media reports.

Rescue operations are continuing in the southern city of Nabatieh, which has reportedly come under heavy bombardment. Emergency teams are still clearing rubble in affected areas, and authorities warned that the number of casualties and injuries may increase as recovery efforts continue.
