Over 50 Russian attacks rock Ukraine's Chernihiv in 24 hours PHOTO
More than 50 Russian attacks were recorded across the Chernihiv region over the past 24 hours, damaging residential and social infrastructure, regional authorities said.
A missile strike was reported on the outskirts of the region on the previous day, Viacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said.
Late in the evening, Russian forces launched two Geran-type drones at the centre of Novhorod-Siverskyi. The strike damaged the local employment centre, a store, several vehicles, and nearby residential buildings. Two police officers sustained injuries in the attack.
Additional damage was reported in villages within the Horodnia and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities, where residential houses were hit. In the Koryukivka community, an FPV drone struck a rural shop. In another settlement, similar drones targeted an energy facility, while a vehicle was damaged in one of the villages.
Geran drones also attacked a woodworking enterprise in the Mena community.
In total, approximately 50 attacks were carried out across the region within 24 hours, with authorities recording 84 explosions.
