Seven ships with almost 167,000 tons of wheat, corn and sunflower oil left Ukrainian ports on October 8, having received permission from the joint coordination centre, Interfax reports citing the joint coordination centre.
"Seven ships left Ukrainian ports on October 8, the ships are transporting a total of 166,686 tons of grain and other agricultural products as part of the Black Sea Grain Initiative," the report says.
Eneida B ships with 32,859 tons of corn and 9,511 tons of wheat, Oris Sofi with 6,000 tons of sunflower oil and Laurus with 5,050 tons of wheat were heading for Türkiye. Cornelia M dry cargo ship (60,000 tons of wheat) sailed to Vietnam while Shaman Wisdom with 32,600 tons of wheat - to Indonesia.
Moreover, Chem Hero ship will supply 15,000 tons of sunflower oil to India. Lady Eva left for Egypt with 5,666 tons of corn.
The centre said that "the obtained grain can be processed and then transported to other countries".
"Some 6,595,784 tons of grain and other agricultural products were exported from three Ukrainian ports as of October 8. In total, 605 vessels have been allowed to sail at the moment, namely, 313 were allowed to arrive in Ukrainian ports while 292 to leave them," the message said.
