Pakistan envoy signals progress in US-Iran dialogue

There has been “some progress” in the dialogue between the United States and Iran, Pakistani Ambassador to Moscow Faisal Niaz Tirmizi told Russian media.

“Yes, there is some progress, because that is what diplomacy is for. We always keep communication channels open between all sides, which is why Pakistan is an honest mediator between the two countries. This is in the interests of peace and stability in the Middle East,” Tirmizi said.

He emphasized Pakistan’s role in maintaining communication channels between the parties as part of efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that Washington and Tehran had established new contacts through intermediaries.
